#149 - Evil or
Ignorance?

Evil: Profoundly immoral, wicked, harmful, or extremely undesirable actions by some people.

The word ‘evil’ implies that someone or groups of people have done something extremely inappropriate, against the mores of society and members of the public.

These ways of behaving could include corruption, vicious, diabolical, despicably hurtful, hate-filled behaviours towards one or more people, just name a few.

Let us take a look at what really is the source of ‘evil’.

It is a word that's bandied about quite frequently and we often see the evidence of 'evil' around us.

The source of ‘evil’ is ignorance.

Ignorance of our place in the world, our purpose for being here, who we are at the core, our relationship to nature, our connection to everything and everyone.

This incorrect, mind-created disconnection is the driver of conduct that will cause harm to others, we falsely believe we are separate, or superior and thus our hurtful behaviours are justified.

When we're disconnected from ourselves, we will self-sabotage, cause harm to ourselves mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, with physically the most common one.

When we are ignorant of our true nature, i.e.

Infinite consciousness having a human experience.

Then we set the scene for potentially and actually causing harm to other people, inappropriate destructive behaviours, acts of terrorism, right up to waging wars upon nations!

Causing harm to property, assets, machinery, and equipment that belongs to us or others, is a lack of caring and consideration.

And it goes on to causing harm towards our immediate environment and the Earth, by damaging, degrading, and polluting it, to raping, and pillaging resources, often belonging to other countries.

Again, associated with ignorance of who we are and our place in the grander scheme of things.

Causing harm to the planet as a whole,
as a living organism with its biosphere,
air, soil and water.

And finally, harming and degrading the quality of life for future generations, knowing the legacy that we leave behind today, will have a huge impact on the fate of all generations to come.

All of this ‘evilness’ is born
out of ignorance.

There are undoubtedly extreme behaviours that could be termed ‘evil’ and certainly not to be condoned in any shape or form, but when we look beyond the surface of those actions, we see extreme pain, trauma and ignorance being outwardly projected.

For harmony to exist in our world ‘evilness’ needs to be rectified and
replaced with awareness.

How would we go about that?

The answer to that, the sole or soul answer, is to become more conscious individually and collectively.

It starts with us!

When we are conscious, we make more aware, responsible, wiser, and intelligent choices, the behaviours of which, have no damaging impact on humanity, other species, or the environment.

This is our great awakening that we're progressing through right now, we're moving from our head to our heart, driven by our heart-centredness, and becoming more aware of who we really are in the multiverse, our personal role we are playing and what is unfolding in the grand scheme of things.

Ultimately, we wll reduce the amount of harm that is caused to this planet, allowing peace and harmony to prevail, giving consent for Mother Earth to renew and regenerate herself.

I don't see there is ‘evil’, but I do see and acknowledge there is ignorance.

And starting with ourselves, we must become more conscious that everyone and everything is inextricably interconnected, nothing is separate.

“For what you do to others,
you do to yourself.”

Eckhart Tolle
